The GitHub refused to translate their UI so the app is one of the places were people can finally see terms translated. It's important for people who don't know English like students or non technical people like users of software who want to report a bug.
So where to see for a translation of terms?
There is a GitLab that do have UI translations and we should use their translations. You can check UI or at least check their Terms Glossary on the Crowdin https://crowdin.com/editor/gitlab-ee/10
I would recommend instead of "Pull Request" from GitHub use the term "Merge Request" from GitLab because it's easier to understand and translate.
Another one source of translation is IntelliJ IDE with Localization Packs. Some other IDEs also may be translated as well (Eclipse, Visual Code, Delphi).
The Git itself have a translated documentation and Git Book https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2.
Open it and check the left column with links to translations, for example for Russian https://git-scm.com/book/ru/v2
Older VCS like Subversion and TortoiseSVN or Bazaar can be used too.
Wikipedia may have some translations but they are usually not perfect.
